Despite it being really hot in costume outside, we had a super fun time shooting! Being outside makes all the difference.

About: One day *rosieru-chan and I were watching The Avengers for the 50th time and we said: "Let's cosplay this, because it's amazing and wonderful and Joss Whedon is a badass and it gives us an excuse to make good genderswap!" So I picked Steve and she picked Tony and it was either the greatest or the worst idea ever, because Cap's clothing has far too many fancy seams and Iron Woman is literally a full armored suit. (In the end though, we both survived. XD) For Cap's design I knew I didn't want to change much, even if she was a girl. I get frustrated by overuse of tummy flashes and cleavage and stilettos in genderswap unless it fits the character's personality. For Steve I knew it didn't, so I mostly just changed the mask and hair, which I still tried to keep as the same shape.

Pros: The outfit translated relatively well to a female body, and it's mostly comfortable! (Mostly, minus the mask.) Also that shield is my metal baby, I love it so. <3

Cons: The seamstresses for the official Cap outfit are ridiculous and have made the most complicated suit I have ever seen. I tried to follow as many of the seams as I could but alas, could not get them all (for sanity's sake). The suit is also made up of three different blues, but unfortunately I had to compromise with two. (I had trouble finding the dark blue already and my light blue didn't dye well) Lastly, despite that shield being beautiful, the paint I used gave me the hardest time of my life. *sigh*
