Character: Pinkie Pie (Gala Dress)
Series: My Little Pony
Year Made: 2012
Debuted: Otakon 2012
About: I designed both dresses, but *rosieru-chan did the amazing job of sewing them! (with ~LittleDogStar's incredible help painting Twilight's stars) Pinkie Pie was my automatic first choice to do because I can be very, very like like her sometimes (my friends can vouch for it). Plus, extra excuse to EAT MORE CANDY AND CAKE. Yay!

Pros: I love how the wig turned out! I curled it like crazy to get it more fluffy, and I love how the dress looks like a giant cupcake.

Cons: The wig can get a little hot, and the heels hurt after a while, but overall no problems.

wow amazing cosplay :meow: do you mind me asking how you curled this wig? i've seen many ways to do it from dipping it in boiling water to curl and spray it and even using a heat cap. What method do you recommend?

Thanks~! And I curled it using lots of heat and ordinary curlers! My wig is heat resistant, so that made my job way easier than if it wasn't. It started out with little curls too, so I just sectioned out the hair, curled it reeeally close to the scalp, applied heat directly onto it with a hair dryer, waited a good couple hours until it cooled down, and voila! I seperated the ringlets so it could get that messy curl look, then hairsprayed it after so that it could hold it's shape as long as possible. ([link] is a clearer tutorial for Heat-Resist wigs!)

Hope that helps! :3

How much would you charge to make it?

To make what, the dress? I don't take commissions, sorry. =/ Also it was my friend *rosieru-chan who made the main part of the dress, I just designed it.

Thanks! :D I got it from Cosplay.com, it's the Holly wig in Raspberry pink. I teased and curled the heck out of it (it's wonderfully heat resistant, so it curled no problem), and it became an awesome puff ball!
